Free Admission on First Sunday
The first Sunday of each month
Residents of Quebec have free access to Exporail on the first Sunday of each month with proof of residency for every adult. Children do not need to show proof of residence. There is no ticket reservation for these free days.
Regular free admission includes access to exhibitions. For security reasons related to Covid-19, the Museum limits the number of visitors for that day to 440, or 40 people every half-hour. Some extra fees apply to ride the miniature railway and passenger car: $1 per child and $2 per adult for each ride. Tickets available at ticketbooth. The miniature railway rides until 3:50 p.m. Passenger train departure at 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. The miniature railroad rides run daily in the summer from 10:30 to 11:50 a.m. and from 1 to 3:50 p.m.
Please note that there may be a lineup at the entrance ranging from 60 to 90 minutes. The ticket booth open at 10 a.m. and closes at 3:30 p.m. From experience, the waiting line is full by 2:00 p.m. Outdoor site closes at 4 p.m. Free admission is not applicable on group rates.
The coffee shop Le Tramway is closed for the season.
