This live demonstration highlights an essential skill that shaped the safety and efficiency of rail transport for more than a century. Thanks to the telegraph, stations and control posts could communicate instantly, coordinate train movements, and prevent accidents across an expanding network.

The presentation allows you to discover how Morse code works, observe the use of authentic equipment, and understand how messages were transmitted across the country. You will even have the chance to hear the distinctive clicking of the devices and see how operators interpreted these signals with remarkable precision.
