Railway Ghosts, some Halloween fun
Railway Ghosts
Every year, just before Halloween, Exporail is taken over by ghosts, skeletons, bats, and spiders!
This year is no exception! New characters have snuck into vehicles in the Grand Gallery. Let our ghostly narrator guide you as he searches for the truth behind the tragedies that occurred over the centuries in a haunted station atmosphere. Feel free to help him out — he tends to lose track of things sometimes… ghost memory, you know!
This activity invites families with children aged 10 and up to rediscover the collection from a new perspective. Understanding the story is important.
For families with younger children (under 10), we suggest more age-appropriate activities, such as a Halloween craft workshop set up in a specially decorated railcar. Our little visitors will be encouraged to use their creativity and fine motor skills to make their very own railway-themed Halloween mask.
The Pumpkin Trail will challenge you with fun riddles, courtesy of the City of Saint-Constant, which will also offer craft workshops alongside those organized by the museum.
(Activities are offered on Saturdays and Sundays.)
THE GHOST TRAIN ($)
A railcar will be reserved for children under 10, where candy will be handed out onboard. Charbonneau Orchard will also join us at Montée des Bouleaux Station with a mini pumpkin picking activity, and they’ll have a booth featuring their delicious local products on the weekend of October 25–26.
For ages 10 and up, in collaboration with Fantômes Montréal, hop aboard our Ghost Train and uncover the tragic life and death of a railway worker from the early 20th century. Chills guaranteed!
