Railway Ghosts, some Halloween fun
Railway Ghosts
Each year, before Halloween, Exporail is taken over by ghosts, skeletons, bats, and spiders! This year is no exception!
For adults and youth ages 10 and up:
New characters have slipped into some of the vehicles in the Grand Gallery. Let our narrator — himself a ghost — guide you as he searches for the truth behind the tragedies that have taken place over the centuries in the eerie atmosphere of a haunted station. Don’t hesitate to help him along; he tends to lose track of things sometimes… ghost memory!
This activity gives families with children over 10, or adults visiting with friends, the chance to discover the collection from a new perspective. Since understanding the story is key, this activity is not recommended for children under 10.
For families with children under 10:
We suggest more suitable activities, such as a craft workshop set up inside a specially decorated train car. Our younger visitors will be invited to use their creativity and dexterity to design their very own railway-themed Halloween mask.
The Pumpkin Trail will challenge you with riddles to solve, courtesy of the City of Saint-Constant, which will also offer craft workshops in addition to those provided by the museum.
(Activities take place on Saturdays and Sundays.)
THE HAUNTED TRAIN ($)
This year, two train cars are once again available, offering two very different experiences 👻
→ For children under 10: Candy distribution on board, plus pumpkin picking at the halfway stop at Montée des Bouleaux station — courtesy of Le Verger Charbonneau, who will also have a booth showcasing their delicious products on the weekend of October 25 and 26.
→ For ages 10 and up: In collaboration with Fantômes Montréal, climb aboard our Ghost Train and uncover the life — and tragic death — of a railway worker from the early 20th century. Shivers guaranteed!
Departures: October 18–19, 25–26, and 31, 2025
