Railway Ghosts, some Halloween fun
Railway Ghosts, some Halloween fun !
Every year before Halloween, Exporail is taken over by ghosts, skeletons, bats, and spiders — and this year is no exception!

For families with children under 10 years:
We suggest activities that are better suited for younger visitors, such as a craft workshop offered inside a specially arranged railcar. Children will be invited to practice their dexterity and creativity by making their own railway‑themed Halloween mask.
The Pumpkin Trail challenges you with riddles to solve, courtesy of the City of Saint‑Constant, which will also offer additional craft workshops on October 24, in addition to those provided by the museum.
(Animations are offered on Saturdays and Sundays.)
For adults and youth ages 10 and up:
Be attentive on October 24, 25, 31 and November 1, as new characters will be slipping into the vehicles of the Grand Gallery. Take the time to listen to their tragic stories — and if they speak to you directly, don’t panic. They’ve been here so long that they’ve learned to coexist with the living.
This activity allows families with children aged 10 and up, as well as adults visiting with friends, to discover the collection from a fresh and original angle.
It’s important to understand the storyline and respect the performance.

The Haunted Train ($)
Be very attentive, because once again this year we’re offering two cars with two very different experiences 👻
- A car for children under 10: candy distribution on board and mini‑pumpkin picking halfway through the ride, once you arrive at Montée‑des‑Bouleaux Station, offered by Le Verger Charbonneau.
- A car for ages 10 and up: in collaboration with Fantômes Montréal, hop aboard our Ghost Train and discover the life — and tragic death — of a railway worker from the early 20th century. Chills guaranteed.
Departure dates: October 24–25, 31, and November 1, 2026.
